Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

Ejection Seat Theory (the "app") is a self-assessment tool. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your data — which is very little, because almost everything happens on your own device.

What we collect

Nothing. The app runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you enter — salary, sleep hours, resting heart rate, EMI, or anything else in the assessment — are used only to calculate your result on your own screen. None of it is sent to a server, because the app doesn't have one. There is no account, no login, and no analytics tracking your inputs.

File uploads (bank statements / health reports)

If you use the optional auto-capture feature to upload a bank statement or health report, that file is read and parsed entirely inside your browser using JavaScript. It is never uploaded to any server — there is nothing to upload it to. Once you close the tab, nothing from that file persists anywhere.

Offline storage

The app can be installed and used offline. To support this, your browser caches the app's own files (HTML, CSS, icons) locally on your device via a standard service worker. This is the same mechanism any offline-capable website uses, and it does not transmit anything back to us — there's no "us" receiving it.

Third-party services

The app loads fonts and, if you generate a PDF report, two small open-source libraries (for PDF creation and page-to-image rendering) from a public content delivery network (cdnjs.cloudflare.com, fonts.googleapis.com). These requests are standard file downloads and are handled by those providers under their own privacy terms — no data about your assessment answers is included in these requests.

Children's privacy

This app is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds real cloud sync — this page will be updated first, with a new "last updated" date above.
